About Us We started sublimation ink heat transfer printing in August, 1987 using a Rex Rotary printer. A year later we purchased an AB Dick mimeograph printer. These two methods of printing sublimation ink transfers was very messy and registration was almost non-existent. We generated a lot of wasted transfers due to poor registration. Training on how to use the printers, sell the products and support was non-existent also. We were self-taught on how to print transfers. In 1989 we purchased a 3M copier which used a sublimation ink toner. Quality was great but we could only print one ink color. No training was available and support was also zero. In 1990, we invented Colorprinter 1. This hand printer used the same electronic stencils that we used on the Rex and AB Dick mimeos. Although Colorprinter 1 was a manual printer and slow, we had perfect registration and waste went down to zero. In 2001, with the introduction of inkjet printers and affordable computers, we started printing our own pigmented ink heat transfers. Training/support, again, was less than desireable, but using our experiences and knowledge, we had a very small learning curve. In 2002, we started joining the various heat transfer groups and forums where we tried to help those newer people who just started out or just needed help. In 2003 we introduced our first 'How To' video cd and have been going strong ever since. In 2004, we purchased our first vinyl printer/cutter - a Roland PC-12. This gives us the ability to custom print and cut, vinyl lettering, decals, stickers, etc... Currently we only custom print wholesale for other printers and we do a little retail work both locally and on the internet. Additionally, we are focusing our efforts more on the teaching side of the business as the amount of training currently available is minimal, to say the least. |
